just after turning two archie's word count took off and this kid is practically speaking in complete sentences at this point. it is wild and also very, very adorable to listen to his little voice. here are some of his dictionary entries:
- gagi = either of the gagas [aka grandmas]
- oat milk = oatmeal
- daddy cereal = any sugary cereal
- rock 'em dig 'em = rock-a-bye baby
- glubs = gloves
- dollar city = silver dollar city
- merry christmas tree = merry christmas
and these are some of the best things he's said lately, many of which we get to hear on a very regular basis:
- "ummm couple minutes" [his answer to a wide variety of questions]
- "my birthday in november" [his typical response when someone outside of our family says anything to him]
- "do it by self" [technically this one is usually "no! no! do it by self!"]
- "me want it HUGE" [this started with wanting to fill the little cup in the bathroom to overflowing when brushing his teeth, but moved on to include cereal bowls and spoons]
- "liiittle potty" [if he only has to pee a little bit he explains it this way while scrunching his fingers and squinting his eyes]
- "thank you mommy" and "thank you daddy" [those are just so sweet to hear his two year old voice say]
- "daddy you comin'?" [this gets called out repeatedly when he's ready to get up from his nap]
- "mommy's coming in a certain way, hey!" [this is the song i get on repeat in the morning when he's waiting for me to come get him up]
- "socks and shoes go on your feet doodah doodah" [the song we sing to get our socks and shoes on our feet]
- last but not least, one of the most frequent things i hear from him is this; "mommy mommy mommy mama mama mommy mommy mommy mommy mama mama mommy mommy mommy mommy" [it does not matter how many times i respond to him or what i say, he just keeps going and going and going]
